History lovers will feel at home in North Pointe. Proud to have the General William C. Lee Airborne Museum as one of its treasures, an early 20th-century neoclassical three-story revival house. It was the home of Dunn native Maj. General William C. Lee, known as the "Father of the Airborne." The museum tells of General Lee's life history, the early years of the US Army Airborne, and glider planes during WWII.
